Tse Leung states:- I know the man present. He

is the Indian Inspector. His number was 586.I do not know

his name. He used to wear a red sash and no number. His nu-

ber was 586 when he was a Sergeant.

I have paid him bribes for the Wa Lane gam-

bling house. I paid him $10 each week. That was for two gam-

bling houses,one in Wa Lane and one in Cheung Hing Street.

That was 75 cents a day for each gambling house. I began to

pay him on the 10th.day of the 10th,moon of the year before

last up to the 16th. of the 11th.moon of last year.

I paid because if I did not he would kick

and stop the watchmen.

He did so before he was paid bribes. He asked

me to get the money for him. I went and spoke to San Yin

about it. He asked for $1 at first and then agreed to 75

cents.
